With an acoustic rating of 31dB, our threshold seal is perfect for ensuring confidentiality in interview or tribunal rooms, or creating more peaceful bedrooms – and it helps create meaningful smoke compartments.
It’s also the only product of its kind specifically designed for Mental Health. We made it because we understand the challenges of such environments, so we knew if we wanted to address noise reduction, we also had to completely reinvent existing seals to meet every anti-ligature and anti-tamper standard.
Shortened rubber fins reduce risk of ligature and are staggered, so allow the maximum number of fixings to prevent tampering. For total reassurance, rubber fins are inserted top-down, then clamped in place when acoustic threshold seal is fitted to door.
FD60 fire rated
With the double fins extending the length of the bottom of the door leaf, it provides a superior smoke seal to keep service users safer. Plus it's FD60 fire rated.
Because we’ve designed our products for the real-world and spent time listening to our customers, we understand the importance of creating meaningful smoke compartments in corridor and bedroom areas.
That’s why our threshold seal provides a superior smoke barrier and why it’s tested and rated up to FD60. So designers can select a threshold seal which minimises noise transfer – providing confidentiality and privacy – as well as keeping service users safer.
Our range of door components for Mental Health are rigorously tested and designed for the real world – without compromising on safety or performance.
Installation manuals, DWG files, test evidence and specification advice for Mental Health door components.
Because our products are used in challenging Mental Health environments, they're rigorously tried and tested to withstand the most extreme abuse. Our doorset components undergo 12 mechanical and abuse tests.
