Safehinge and Wolseley at BSEC 2010

Safehinge recently exhibited at BSEC 2010 with interest from guests from as far afield as Bahrain.  Local authorities, head teachers and architects were amazed with the simplicity of integrated finger protection, consistently asking "why has this never been done before?".

Most architects and end users explained that they have had issues with plastic hinge covers in the past, cracking and splitting within a short period of installation.  One head teacher highlighted that broken plastic hinge covers can create a hazard in their own right - once split, the sharp edges are dangerous.

A number of architects and local authorities will now incorporate Safehinge ALU on their school projects with aesthetics, durability and life cost savings as the main drivers for specification.
